Entrepeneurs looking to open a business should consider locating in one of Oregon’s quickest growing cities.

New estimates from Portland State University’s Population Research Center reveal interesting data about how the Portland Metropolitan area is growing. PSU shows that during the past four years, Oregon’s population has risen only .7%, while Washington County has outpaced the state’s growth rate by more than double with a 1.8% increase over the same time-period.

The PSU data show that Cornelius, Hillsboro and Tigard are the fastest growing cities driving that change in Washington County

Other fast-growing cities in the Portland Metro area include the Bethany area in Washington County up 2.7% since 2022 and Happy Valley in Clackamas County up 5.13% since 2022.
