As reported by The Oregonian, Portland’s Mi Mero Mole has closed its doors for the final time after 9 years citing financial challenges due to the COVID19 pandemic.
Owner, Nick Zukin, claims the business lost money each day after Oregon Governor Brown ordered restaurants to scale back amid COVID19 concerns. Relying heavily on tourism and office workers in Portland’s Old Town/ China Town, Zukin noted that many small businesses in this area have struggled to stay afloat during the lockdown orders.
“We hope that when this is all over and you walk by you think, man, I miss Mi Mero Mole”, said Zukin. “We will miss you as well.”
